GAO Tek Inc. has announced the availability of an innovative digital video recorder which records video in a digital format to a disk drive, USB flash drive, SD memory card or other memory medium. It includes an embedded real-time operating system (RTOS). The DVR uses PATA and SATA connectors for disc connection, RS485 as an I/O connector and 10M/100M Ethernet interface for a network connection.
This real-time digital video recorder (DVR), model 9008, consumes little power – about 50W without hard disc consumption. It records both video and audio signals. For video, it offers a 25f/ch/s recording rate for 625 lines in PAL mode, CIF and HD1 recording resolution as well as 6 levels of picture recording quality. The DVR supports 8 channels composite video input with 1.0Vp-p75O BNC and also supports video input and output in both PAL and NTSC modes. For Audio, it has 8 channels of input and 1 channel of output using RCA connection. It also offers a sample ratio of 8ksample/s and employs G.722 audio compression. In addition, the real-time DVR boasts 8 channels of alarm inputs and 2 channels of alarm outputs.
