Best Day Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to helping children with special needs build confidence and self-esteem through adventure activities such as surfing, is pleased to announce the screening of Jack Johnson, En Concert (the movie) during the Best Day Foundation Benefit on August 7, 2010 at the Pollak Theatre, Monmouth University in West Long Branch, NJ at 6:30pm. The benefit event endeavors to raise funds and awareness.
The Best Day Foundation Benefit will feature an evening of great surf movies including the music of Jack Johnson En Concert (the movie), On a Rail: Europe, The Ripple Effect, as well as a silent auction, tasty snacks, beverages, and more. Tickets are $9.99 / $13 in advance (12 and under / 13 and older) or $12 / $15 at the door.
“Come enjoy three movies for the price of one!” says Alexis Downham, Special Education Teacher, and Best Day NJ Chapter Co-Chair. “You’ll help Best Day serve more amazing children in the community. And you can also learn about volunteering opportunities.”
In addition to the screening of On A Rail: Europe, Tar productions is contributing a first class EURAIL.COM “Global Pass” good for 15 travel days throughout 21 countries in Europe within two months on the famed Eurail Trains. The ticket is valued at over $1,125 USD and will be part of the silent auction. “Lucky bidders will get the opportunity to chart their very own trip through Europe, and possibly re-live the On A Rail: Europe experience like the surfers in the movie,” said Monte Crofts of Tar productions.
“And you could be wearing some cool new gear or listening to some Jack Johnson tunes,” says Best Day Co-Founder and Executive Director Max Montgomery referring to some of the other items available in the silent auction.
