In India, lithographers like Ramachandraiah have made a living from their craft for decades. In rural Ghana, mobile cinemas (small screens mounted on vans) rely on local oil painters to announce their arrival. In any case, these artists take significant creative liberties, sometimes depicting scenes that don’t even happen in the movies.
