Baywatch star, David Hasselhoff , was the first to bite the dust as he said goodbye to his fellow celebrities on Dancing With The Stars. Hasselhoff was cheered on by his daughters Hayley and Taylor Ann, who explained that the Hoff had bad knees so it was a great feat that he finished the rehearsal process and made it through week one.
“Hey, we tried,” Hasselhoff said when his name was called. “It’s been a great ride,” the 58-year-old added before he and partner Kym Johnson performed their cha-cha again.
“I feel bad for Kym, because she worked so hard to try and get me where I was going,” he continued. “I’m just so proud that my daughters are here and got to see me go this far. So it’s great.”
Hasselhoff landed in the bottom two, alongside Disney kid Kyle Massey and his partner, Lacey Schwimmer. And the men took the rest of the lowest spots, as Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and Kurt Warner also seemed like they might be threatened with elimination at one point.
“I got to tell you, of all the first people to leave, in all the seasons I’ve hosted, this was the biggest surprise to me!” host Tom Bergeron commented during Tuesday night’s results show.
Left to compete in next week’s round are Brandy, top-scorer Jennifer Grey, Florence Henderson, former L.A. Laker Rick Fox, football legend Warner, Massey, “The Hills” alum Audrina Patridge, “Jersey Shore” star the Situation, singer Michael Bolton, comedian Margaret Cho and Bristol Palin.
