Oprah’s audience literally went berserk, with crying, screaming, dancing, and cursing as Oprah opened her Friday show to announce her 2010 Favorite Things. Medics stood by to handle any mishaps that might occur.
The annual event sends millions of Oprah addicts rushing to buy items upon which the Queen bestows the honor of being her favorites. This year is especially emotionally charged as it is the farewell episode of the grand event.
The winners of this years’ favorites ranged from a Sony 3D TV to string pants; from an esoteric weight loss book to the “World’s Best” Mac ‘n’ Cheese. Other items included a Nikon D3100 digital SLR, a 5-year Netflix Membership, and a Kiva Gift Card, compliments of Groupon.
Friday’s program was only the first installment. Even more Favorite Things will be announced on Monday’s program.
One thing that is almost certain is that sales of the products that are on Oprah’s Favorite Things list are sure to be hot sellers this holiday season.
