Packers Put Bears In The Freezer With Crushing Win

Arron Rogers

Packers Trounce Bears

Bears fans joined the ranks of the frustrated and discouraged Eagles and Falcons fans as the number 6 seeded Green Bay Packers once again proved their mettle by trouncing the Chicago Bears. This makes Green Bay the first 6 seeded team to make it to the Super Bowl. They did it by winning their last three road games, including their win over the number one pick Atlanta Falcons.

By all indications they shouldn’t have even come close. With a stuttering season opening and 15 members on the injured list, the most in the NFC, the odds against them were enormous. But team members stepped up to the challenge performing as well as many of the first string players.

Aaron Rodgers did not produce stellar numbers in Green Bay’s 21-14 NFC Championship Game win Sunday over the Chicago Bears. While he began a nearly flawless performance in the first half, he sputtered in the second half. Overall he was 17-for-30 for 244 yards passing and two interceptions, and he ran for one touchdown. But he made the Packers better merely by his presence in their huddle.

The Packers defense proved they were up to the challenge. The only touchdown in the second half came when defensive tackle, B.J. Raji,  scooped in his first career interception and lumbered 18 yards for a touchdown.

With such a well-rounded team the Packers will prove to be quite a formidable challenge to the Steelers, and as of now are the odds-on favorites to win the Superbowl.
