Twenty-year-old Taylor Swift added a rather bizarre award to her collection when she was picked as the 2010 choice for celebrity induction into the International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame.
Swift squeaked by pop star Justin Bieber to secure her place in bowling history with votes of 613,324-608,015. They were among nine celebrities the Bowling Proprietors’ Association of America nominated for their public support of the sport. Over 1.3 million votes were cast in the online poll. Swift also beat stars Justin Bieber and Bill Murray.
Swift may not be the world’s greatest bowler, but she does enjoy herself, and that seems to be the point of her selection into the Hall of Fame. She frequently has been spotted and photographed hitting the lanes with celebrity friends such as Gomez and Cory Monteith.
The museum is based in the Dallas-Fort Worth suburb of Arlington. A photo of Swift and a plaque made in her honour will be displayed at the museum in Texas later in 2010.
