Violence erupted at a “Gathering of the Juggalos” music festival in rural Hardin County, Illinois Saturday. Witnesses and police reports support Tila Taquila’s claim that as she was going on stage to perform she was pelted with rocks, bottles and firecrackers. The Playboy model suffered facial lacerations, but continued her attempt to perform.
Her attemps to placate the crowd by removing her top only infuriated the crowd more. Eventually she was chased from the stage where she sought refuge in her trailer. She finally escaped, but only after windows were broken and other damage done to her SUV.
In a twitter message on Saturday, the entertainer indicated she would sue the festival. “Pretty soon, the owners who run the juggalos will be bankrupt,” she wrote.
The festival is organized for fans of the hip-hop group Insane Clown Posse. Fans consist of mostly young people who sometimes wear clown makeup and are called juggalos and juggalettes.
