Just a few days after singer John Mellencamp has announced his separation from Elaine, his wife of 18 years, he has appeared to move on now with Meg Ryan. The pair have allegedly been spotted together at Espresso Love on Martha’s Vineyard and shopping at Gourmet Garage in New York recently.
Mellencamp has been married twice before he married Elaine in 1992. He has five children from those marriages.
Meg was previously married to Dennis Quaid for nine years before they separated in 2000. A few months later, she went public with her relationship with Russell Crowe.
An observer told People.com, “She usually comes in by herself or with her daughter. I thought that was her husband because they seemed comfortable and familiar with each other, just like an old married couple.”
A source close to Ryan, 49, said her and the 59-year-old musician started dating about seven weeks ago. “They don’t care what people say,” the friend says. “They are in love.”
