The is a computer-controlled, precise measurement tool, used for measuring air flow, fuel flow, and outlet pressure at various throttle angles in all types of conditions. These operating conditions are simulated at test points that correlate to internal combustion engine operation. High precision measurement of airflow is accomplished by employing sonic nozzles, and high precision fuel flow ensures that fuel density remains constant, resulting in highly accurate test results.
Fuel supply pressure and carburetor outlet pressure measurement accuracy is important for setting the carburetor test points. The Data Acquisition System facilitates averaging of the fuel flow and vacuum measurements at each steady-state test point. The Testek software provides test data in Excel spreadsheet format to facilitate quality control of the OEM carburetors.
